Holbox beach, Mexico

Two & a half hours north of Cancun, this little car-free island in the Gulf of Mexico just north Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula delivers that laid-back barefoot bohemian vibe you’ve been yearning for.

My days & nights here were spent primarily on the beach– one place on earth where I feel most alive.

Maybe because I was spoiled by the beaches of Turks & Caicos earlier this year, I wouldn’t say the beaches of Holbox were the most beautiful I’ve ever seen (perhaps my expectations were set too high) — but they nevertheless fed some of that peaceful ocean magic into my soul.

(that’s my bestie Sandy you see in these pics!)
